Celesta Lowe papers. [1967-1981].

The collection includes a complete run of copies of Lowe's "Echoes from the archives" column from 1967 through 1969, which was published in the Nevadan section of the Las Vegas Review Journal, an incomplete run of copies from 1970 through 1974, and a complete run of copies of her "Southwestern bookshelf" column from 1980 through 1981. The collection also includes correspondence and newsletters from literary clubs and newspaper articles pertaining to family members and civic events.

Celesta Lowe is a long time resident of Clark County. She was the first secretary to James Dickinson at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (then University of Nevada. Southern Regional Division and later Nevada Southern University). She played a large part in developing the Special Collections Division of the library. For many years she wrote local history columns. She is a member of the National League of Pen Women and has also served as book review editor for Maverick Publications. ...
